| This year Troop 64 went to west Texas' Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch in the middle of the beautiful Davis Mountains. The Scouts completed over 100 merit badges, including Art, Archeology, Swimming, Climbing, Wilderness Survival, Astronomy, Pioneering and many more. The first year scouts participated in a program called 'Trail to Eagle' which completed several requirements in the Tenderfoot, First Class and Second Class ranks. The Scout leaders also completed some training, sat in on some of the merit badge classes and enjoyed some relaxation. Mr. Victor stayed busy with Snorkeling, Scuba diving and Climbing/Repelling and Mr. Mike is now a BSA lifeguard. The troop also took hikes to Needle Rock, the Notch and the Goat Caves. We learned a lot on this trip from scout skills to group dynamics. All in all it was a great trip and we had a lot of fun. Who's up for going back?!! |
